Another arrest over weekend disorder in Larne, County Antrim

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with disorder in Larne, County Antrim, last weekend.

He was arrested under the Terrorism Act in Carrickfergus on Saturday.

The police are still questioning a 31-year-old man arrested in the town on Friday.

The trouble broke out in a residential area of the town on Sunday evening. Police have blamed a faction of the loyalist Ulster Defence Association (UDA) for the overnight "rampage".

Houses were attacked in Ferris Avenue and Knockdhu Park. Police and residents also came under attack during the incident.

One man was seriously injured and a police officer suffered an eye wound.
