Larne disorder: Third man is arrested after two are released
Detectives investigating paramilitary disorder in Larne, County Antrim, last weekend, have made a third arrest.
A 41-year-old man was detained under the Terrorism Act in Carrickfergus on Sunday morning.
The trouble, which police have blamed on a faction of the loyalist Ulster Defence Association (UDA) began in a residential area of Larne on 30 March.
Two other men who were arrested in Carrickfergus over the past 48 hours have been released from custody.
They were a 31-year-old man, who was detained in the town and Friday and a 40-year-old man who was arrested in Carrickfergus on Saturday.
Both men were questioned and released unconditionally on Saturday night.
During last weekend's trouble, a crowd of up to 100 people, many of them masked, gathered in Larne and attacked police, residents and homes.
One man was seriously injured and a police officer suffered an eye wound as houses and cars were attacked in Ferris Avenue and Knockdhu Park.
