Man dies after being rescued from sea off Kenbane Head in Ballycastle
A 60-year-old man has died after being rescued from the sea off the coast of north Antrim.
He was found by the Red Bay lifeboat crew about a quarter of a mile off Kenbane Head in Ballycastle at about 12:00 BST on Saturday.
An air and sea search operation began at about 11:15 BST after he was reported missing. It is believed that he fell from a cliff.
Police said the man was thought to be a visitor to the area.
He was taken by helicopter to Coleraine hospital in a critical condition but died of his injuries.
