Giro d'Italia organisers thank Northern Ireland

The organisers of the Giro d'Italia have thanked the people of Northern Ireland for their support for the race.

The three stages in Northern Ireland attracted tens of thousands of spectators each day.

The successful staging has led to speculation about a bid for part of the Tour de France.
