West Belfast: Woman assaulted by caller in Ballaghbeg area

A woman has been assaulted by a bogus caller at her home in west Belfast.

Shortly before 09:00 BST, a man called to the house in the Ballaghbeg area and said he was "from the Water Board".

He pushed passed the woman, assaulted her and demanded money, before ransacking some areas of the house.

However, he left empty-handed and was seen to run off towards the Glen Road. The woman was treated for her injuries at the scene.
