Paint thrown at home in 'hate crime'

A 59-year-old man has been arrested after white paint was thrown at the front door of a house in Hillsborough and a racist slogan placed on the door.

The incident happened at Dunbeg Park in the town on Thursday night.

The man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, vehicle interference and intent to cause criminal damage.

The slogan has been removed and efforts have been made to remove the paint. Police said they are treating the incident as a hate crime.
