North Belfast shooting: Three men charged with attempted murder

Shooting scene at Wallasey Park Police said it was believed the man was shot after getting out of a car on Wednesday night

Three men have been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm, following the shooting of a man in north Belfast earlier this week.

The victim, aged 44, was shot in the leg near the Ballysillan Road at about 22:10 BST on Wednesday.

The men, who are aged 31, 46 and 47, are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

A number of searches have also been carried out in north Belfast and north Down.
