East Belfast: Petrol bombs thrown at police

Two petrol bombs were thrown at police on Sunday night.

Police officers were at the junction of Castlereagh Street and Templemore Avenue in east Belfast following reports that bins had been set alight.

No one was injured and a crowd of youths who gathered in the area dispersed.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested for attempted criminal damage in relation to the incident.

The youth was subsequently charged and is due to appear at Belfast Youth Court next month.
