Vodafone is buying four shops in Northern Ireland from the collapsed Phones 4U chain.

They are in Newtownabbey, Bangor, Ballymena and Omagh. The move will safeguard 22 jobs.

Dixons Carphone had already agreed to take over four in-store concessions, which will save another 21 jobs.

Uncertainty remains over a further eight Phones 4U shops employing a total of 54 people.

EE is buying some Phones 4U shops in other parts of the UK, but not in Northern Ireland.
