South Belfast car arson: Man released on bail

Police investigating an arson attack on two cars in south Belfast have released a man on bail.

A car was set on fire in Palestine Street shortly after 06:00 BST on Wednesday.

The fire spread to another car parked nearby. Both cars were destroyed, and a house was also damaged.

A 34-year-old man who was arrested in the Ballynafeigh area of south Belfast on Wednesday afternoon has been released, pending further enquiries.

Wednesday's attack was the latest in a spate of similar incidents in south Belfast.

About 10 cars have been set on fire in the Holyland area and nearby streets in recent days.
