Customer robbed in Ulster Bank on Shankill in west Belfast

A man believed to have been armed with a machete has robbed a customer at a bank in west Belfast.

The customer was in the Ulster Bank on the Shankill Road when he was approached by another man just before 09:40 BST on Monday.

The robber stole a sum of money from the customer before leaving the premises.

Police said although the customer in the bank was not injured, he was left badly shaken.

The robber is believed to have made off in the direction of the city centre in a silver coloured car.

Police have appealed for information.
