Newtownabbey ambulance: Three hurt in crash

Three people have been injured after an ambulance and a lorry crashed on the outskirts of north Belfast.

It happened on the Shore Road in Newtownabbey at about 09:00 BST on Monday.

The lorry crashed into the back of the ambulance, pushing it into a car in front.

Two paramedics and an occupant of the car were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

An Ambulance Service spokesman said its crews had attended 11 road traffic incidents before 10:00 BST following severe weather overnight.
