Lough Erne golf resort and hotel: Sale of NI's 'G8 hotel' is completed

The County Fermanagh hotel resort that hosted the 2013 G8 summit has been sold to a US-owned company.

Lough Erne golf resort and hotel has been bought by Lough Shore Road Ltd, a firm ultimately owned by the Chicago-based Saliba family.

Tony Saliba is a billionaire financial trader and golf enthusiast.

The business has been sold as a going concern. The five-star resort, which is estimated to have cost £35m to develop, was placed into administration in 2011.
