Man attacked in Bangor home by masked gang

A man has been assaulted by three masked men at his home in Bangor.

Police said the man was threatened with a "suspected firearm" after the three men called at his home at Rathgill Crescent.

It happened shortly after 20:00 BST on Friday.

No money was handed over and the intruders left the house after assaulting the man, who is in his 40s. He was treated in hospital for injuries to his head and face.

The three men were all described as being about 5ft 10ins tall of medium build and were wearing balaclavas.

One of the men wore a black and white horizontally striped jacket.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
