Man, 30, charged with making threats to kill

A 30-year-old man has appeared in court charged with making threats to kill a man who was murdered in west Belfast at the weekend.

Paul Edward Burns, of no fixed abode, is accused of threatening to kill Edward Gibson, and of disorderly behaviour, during an incident at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Mr Gibson, 28, was shot in his stomach and thigh in an alleyway beside Divis Tower on Friday.

He died in hospital.
