Craig McCook dies 12 days after Coleraine car crash

A teenager who was injured in a car crash in County Londonderry 12 days ago has died in hospital.

Craig McCook was one of two men injured in a one-vehicle collision on the Strand Road, Coleraine, on 21 October.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition after the crash.

Police have confirmed that the 19-year-old, from Ballymoney, County Antrim, died on Sunday morning.

Insp Trevor Atkinson said: "This road traffic collision, involving a silver Lexus, has tragically ended up to be fatal.

"I reiterate our appeal and ask for anyone who knows anything about this to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple police station or Coleraine police station on the non-emergency number 101."
