Donaghadee: 'WW2 bomb' washes up on beach

A bomb believed to date back to World War Two has washed up on a beach in County Down.

Army bomb disposal officers were called to the beach near Donaghadee on Sunday, after the device was discovered on the shore.

They carried out a controlled explosion on what police described as a "suspected WW2 munition".

The bomb squad removed the item and has now left the scene.
