Man, 25, freed over Limestone Road, north Belfast, murder attempt

A 25-year-old man arrested in Belfast on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

He was questioned about an assault on the Limestone Road in north Belfast on Friday night.

The victim was taken to hospital following the attack, in which a number of people are believed to have been involved.

Two others arrested by police have also been released on bail.

Police said they did not believe the attack was sectarian.
