Carrickfergus: Man, 30, in court over £100,000 drugs haul

A 30-year-old man has been remanded in custody on charges of money laundering and having cannabis with an estimated street value of £100,000.

Qi Lin, with an address at Larne Road, Carrickfergus, appeared before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with having the drug with intent to supply on 8 November.

He faces a total of eight charges in connection with the drugs haul.

The charges follow a police raid at a house in the County Antrim town.

He was remanded in custody to appear before the court via videolink on Tuesday.
