East Belfast: Passengers injured after bus stoned by youths

Four passengers have been injured after the bus they were travelling on was attacked by a large group of youths throwing stones in east Belfast.

One woman was struck by a stone and three others by glass when four buses were hit in the Castlereagh Street and Beersbridge Road area on Wednesday.

A car was also damaged in the incident at about 21:30 GMT.

Bus operator Translink has offered a £1,000 reward for evidence that leads to a conviction.

PUP councillor John Kyle described it as a "disgraceful attack".

"There is no excuse for this behaviour," he said.

Police have appealed for information.
