Woman injured during Belfast car hijacking

A woman has suffered minor injuries after her car was hijacked close to Belfast city centre on Friday night.

A man grabbed her out from the vehicle in Salisbury Street, off the Dublin Road, at about 19:45 GMT.

Her car, an Audi A3, was later found in Jamaica Street in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast. The woman suffered bruising in the incident.

Her attacker was described as being between 18 and 25 years old, of slim build and with a Belfast accent.

He was wearing a dark coloured hat and a scarf covering his face.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
