Liverpool arrest over NI elderly thefts and fraud

A man has been arrested in Liverpool on suspicion of a series of thefts from elderly people in Northern Ireland earlier this year.

The 28-year-old was arrested on Friday.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday.

Det Sgt Mark Bell said he had been charged with 12 offences "linked to distraction thefts and fraud between the dates of 2 May and 23 June".
