Two women die in separate crashes in counties Kerry and Westmeath

Two women have been killed in separate collisions in the Republic of Ireland.

A 24-year-old woman died after she was struck by a car in Glasson village, Athlone, County Westmeath, at about 08:00 local time on Saturday.

About an hour later, a woman in her 40s died in single-vehicle crash in Lixnaw, County Kerry. It happened on the Ballyduff to Tralee Road.

Two teenage passengers were taken by ambulance to Tralee General Hospital. Their condition is not known.
