Millisle drugs find: Man released over £400,000 cannabis seizure

A man who was arrested over the discovery of cannabis plants worth an estimated £400,000 in Millisle, County Down, has been released from custody.

Eight hundred cannabis plants and electrical equipment were found at a workshop at Drumfad Road last Friday.

Police said it was one of the biggest and most sophisticated production operations they had uncovered recently.

The 57-year-old man, who was arrested in Carrowdore, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
