A Lotto jackpot prize worth £1.8m has been claimed following an appeal for the ticket-holder to come forward.

The winning ticket for the 29 November draw matched all six numbers and was bought in the Newry and Mourne area

The owner of the ticket waited almost three weeks to claim their prize. They have decided to remain anonymous.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: "We're delighted the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward, especially just before Christmas."
