Belfast: Man dies after he is hit by train at Dunmurry Halt

A man has died after he was hit by a train on the outskirts of Belfast.

He was hit by the Belfast to Dublin Enterprise train at Dunmurry Halt on the Lisburn line at about 14:45 GMT on Monday afternoon.

The emergency services were called to the scene and the rail track was closed for a time. It has now reopened.

Police have begun an investigation. A PSNI spokesperson said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
