Police confirm identity of 84-year-old car crash victim

The 84-year-old man who died as the result of a car crash in County Antrim, at the weekend was Gerald Horner.

Mr Horner, from Newtownabbey, was injured in the two-car crash on the Mallusk Road at about 11:45 GMT on Sunday.

He died in hospital on Monday, a police spokesman said.

Insp Alexander Johnston appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
