Matthew Goddard murder: Two men arrested

Two men, aged 29 and 35, have been arrested over the murder of a man in east Belfast over the Christmas holidays.

Matthew Goddard, who was 41, was found dead in his house in Chobham Street at about 21:40 GMT on Christmas Eve.

He was last seen alive at about 18:00 GMT on 23 December.

Police said he was killed in a "sustained and brutal attack" and had been beaten with his electric guitar and other objects.

A number of arrests have been made as part of the investigation, but no-one has been charged.
