A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in east Belfast over the Christmas holidays.

Matthew Goddard, who was 41, was found dead in his house in Chobham Street at about 21:40 GMT on Christmas Eve.

He was last seen alive at about 18:00 GMT on 23 December.

A 25-year-old man from east Belfast was arrested on Wednesday. Two men, aged 29 and 35, were arrested a day earlier and are still being questioned.

Police said Mr Goddard was killed in a "sustained and brutal attack" and had been beaten with his electric guitar and other objects.
