Pedestrian hurt in Omagh collision dies

A 56-year-old woman has died in hospital, a day after she was struck by a car in Omagh, County Tyrone.

The incident happened at about 15:05 GMT on Wednesday at James Street, close to the grammar school.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the collision to contact them.

"I would ask anyone who witnessed the collision, the car or the woman in the area at the time to contact Omagh Police Station," said Inspector Keith McBrien.
