Two men are still being questioned about the murder of a man in County Antrim earlier this week.

Brian McIlhagga, 42, was killed by a masked gang outside a house at Riverview Park in Ballymoney just before 22:30 GMT on Monday.

The father-of-five, from Ballymena, had been beaten and shot once in the leg and died from his injuries.

Two men, aged 22 and 31, remain in custody. A 46-year-old man arrested on Thursday has been released.

Det Ch Insp Michael Harvey said: "I am extending the scope of our appeal for information to include the railway station in Ballymoney which is in the same general area as the house at Riverview Park where Brian was attacked.

"I want to hear from anyone who was in the station, close to the station, or on a train passing through the station between 10.20pm and 10.30pm last Monday night.

"They may have seen a number of men in this vicinity and they may be able to assist the investigation."

He said anyone with any information should contact detectives on the non-emergency number 101 or on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
