A number of houses have been evacuated due to a security alert in north Belfast.

Police received a report of a suspicious object at Clifton Crescent.

Bomb disposal officers have been called to examine the scene.

Clifton Crescent is closed to traffic and Cliftonville Road between Rosapenna Drive and Manor Street has also been cordoned off.
