West Belfast hijacking: Taxi driver injured as he is pulled from his car

A taxi driver has suffered injuries after being pulled from his car during a vehicle hijacking in west Belfast.

Shortly before 20:00 GMT on Tuesday, the man was sitting in his car in Distillery Street when he was approached by two men who asked for directions.

Police said the men then pulled the driver from his car before driving off in it.

The silver car was later found on fire on the Rusheyhill Road in Hannahstown.

The taxi driver was treated in hospital for an injury to his shoulder and back.
