Jay Beatty: 11-year-old picks up award for Scottish goal of the month
An 11-year-old boy from County Armagh who won the Scottish Premiership goal of the month award for January has been presented with his honour.
Jay Beatty, from Lurgan, hit the back of the net at half-time during Celtic's victory over Hamilton Academical.
Jay, who has Down's Syndrome, won 97% of the thousands of votes cast to scoop the award.
He took a bow at half-time to Celtic fans during the club's 4-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday.
The Lurgan boy was presented with a special Golden Boot by one of his Celtic heroes, Charlie Mulgrew and the Celtic Park crowd celebrated as Jay scored another penalty against Celtic Development Squad goalkeeper, Leo Fasan.
Former Celtic hero Georgios Samaras announced Jay as the winner of the January award earlier this month.
Greek striker Samaras formed an emotional bond with the Lurgan youngster during his time at the Glasgow giants.
