Crossmaglen: Man charged over south Armagh waste find

A man has been charged with 24 waste and land contamination offences following the discovery of a suspected fuel laundering plant in south Armagh.

The 52-year-old was arrested at Loughross Road, Crossmaglen, on Thursday morning during a joint operation with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) and the PSNI.

He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court on 1 April.

HMRC has been notified of the fuel plant discovery.
