Dundonald bogus callers rob elderly woman

An elderly woman has been robbed by two men who called to her Dundonald home claiming to be from the "water board".

They called to her Elizabeth Court home at about 19:30 GMT on Friday saying they were there to check the taps.

The men stayed for around 10 minutes and pretended to check the taps.

Shortly after they left the house, the woman noticed that cash had been taken from her purse.

One of the men was described as being in his 40s whilst the second was in his 20s and wore dark clothes with a baseball cap.

Police have appealed for information.
