North Belfast: Man attacked by gang in paramilitary-style attack

A man has been beaten by a gang of seven men armed with baseball bats during a paramilitary-style attack in north Belfast.

He was attacked when the gang forced their way into his home in Forthriver Drive at about 22:00 BST on Thursday.

The man sustained a number of suspected broken bones but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 33-year-old man arrested on the Crumlin Road in connection with the assault has been released on bail.
