Dee Fennell: Republican activist arrested over Easter Sunday speech

A republican activist has been arrested by police investigating comments made at an Easter Sunday commemoration event in Lurgan, County Armagh.

Dee Fennell, 33, from Ardoyne in north Belfast, was arrested by detectives from the PSNI's serious crime branch this morning.

He has been taken to Antrim serious crime suite for questioning.

Detectives are also searching properties in north Belfast and Lurgan as part of the same investigation.
