South Belfast: Man charged in connection with armed robbery

A 30-year old man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a fast-food outlet in Belfast.

The man was arrested after the robbery at a Subway store on the Dublin Road at about 10:15 BST on Sunday.

The store was robbed by a man with a screwdriver who threatened staff before making off with a sum of money.

The accused man has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon and will appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Tuesday 3 May.
