Police are conducting searches in Londonderry and Strabane, County Tyrone, linked to the arrest of 15 men on Thursday.

The men, who were arrested in Strabane following the funeral of murdered dissident republican Michael Barr, remain in custody.

Mr Barr, 34, was shot dead in the Sunset House pub in Dublin on 25 April.

Hundreds attended his funeral Mass in Strabane earlier on Thursday.

The 15 men are being questioned about alleged membership of the dissident republican group, widely referred to as the new IRA.

All of them remain in custody.
