A man has been killed after becoming trapped by machinery on his farm in County Meath.

The man, who was in his 60s, was discovered at the farm on Wednesday, but the details have only just emerged.

His remains were removed to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, where a post mortem examination is expected to take place.

The Health and Safety Authority is investigating the incident.
