Dessie Mee: More time to question three people over Newtownards death
Police investigating the suspicious death of a man in Newtownards, County Down, have been given an additional 36 hours to question three people.
Dessie Mee, 45, died in hospital after an incident at an apartment block on Regent Street on Tuesday evening.
He was found injured outside Millers House. Police said he left the flat from an upstairs window but they did not know whether or not he was pushed.
Those being questioned are a 29-year-old woman and two men, aged 35 and 42.
The were detained on Tuesday night, shortly after Mr Mee was found lying on the ground at the flats.
He was from Blenheim Drive in the town.
A post-mortem examination is being carried out on Thursday.
