A security alert in north Belfast has ended with police saying "nothing untoward was found".

The alert began following the discovery of a suspicious object at Pacific Avenue. Army bomb disposal officers used a robot to examine the object.

The street was closed to traffic and a police cordon was put in place. Oceanic Avenue was also cordoned off at its Antrim Road junction.

The roads have now reopened.
