Two men injured in separate stabbings in Derry and Coleraine

Two men have been injured in separate stabbings in County Londonderry.

A 47-year-old man was stabbed a number of times in the back of the head on the Dungiven Road in Londonderry at about 23:40 BST on Friday. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Meanwhile, in Coleraine a man in his 40s was stabbed in the side by one of two men who demanded money from him as he checked under the bonnet of his car.

It happened at Brook Street in the early hours of Saturday.

The man made his own way to hospital. His injury is not thought to be life-threatening.

Two men, aged 31 and 32, and a 32-year-old woman have been arrested over the Derry attack.
