West Belfast: Couple struck by car on Andersonstown Road

A couple in their 20s have been treated in hospital after they were hit by a car which did not stop in west Belfast.

Four men arrested after the incident have been released on bail.

The couple, whose injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, were walking along the Andersonstown Road at about 02:30 on Tuesday when they were hit by a black BMW.

A black BMW was abandoned a short time later in Gransha Park after it struck two parked cars.

Two of the men who were arrested are aged 28, one is 27 and the other 30.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw the black BMW being abandoned in Gransha Park to contact them.
