Alleged murder gang member found dead

A man who had been about to go on trial has been found dead.

Ramunas Macnoris, 27, had been due to face charges linked to a murder in Coalisland, County Tyrone two years ago.

Mr Macnoris, of Orpheus Drive, Dungannon had not been charged with the murder of Gediminas Stauskas in 2015.

However, he had been accused of kidnapping a man in Newry on 17 September 2015. He was also accused of causing grievous bodily harm.

He faced charges of having a handgun with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence and having cocaine.

Dungannon Magistrates Court was advised of his death at a review hearing on Wednesday.

It is understood Mr Macnoris was found dead in Dungannon last week.
