Lurgan: Three injured during stabbing after funeral

Three people have been injured in a stabbing incident in a County Armagh cemetery.

Police said the "prolonged altercation", involving a large crowd of people, happened after a funeral in Lurgan.

It broke out at about 15:00 GMT on Monday on North Circular Road.

Three people have been taken to Craigavon Area Hospital with cuts that are not believed to be life threatening.

Three ambulance crews, one Rapid Response Vehicle, one paramedic officer and one doctor were dispatched to the scene. The Air Ambulance was also in attendance.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested.

PSNI Craigavon posted to social media that police are appealing for information.

"We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who sees any bladed or pointed weapons in the area of North Circular, Lake Street, Antrim Road, North Street or William Street.

"Do not touch them, but phone us immediately please."
