Drugs worth £6,000 seized in Foyle area
Neighbourhood police officers in Foyle have seized more than £6,000 worth of drugs in the last year.
The PSNI said the success of Operation Silent Guardian was due in part to information provided directly by the community.
PSNI Neighbourhood Inspector, Trevor McKeown, said he believed every report was important.
"Where there is enough information we will take action," he said.
"Removing illegal substances from our streets makes our neighbourhoods safer."
Operation Silent Guardian began as a leaflet drop to householders asking them to provide information about drugs in their area.
