Limavady councillors agree to rates rise

Limavady Councillors have agreed to a 1.12% rise in rates.
The annual district rate was struck at 0.405 in the pound at a meeting on Tuesday night.
SDLP councillor Michael Coyle said it had been a very tight budget.
"Looking at our budgets over the last couple of years, we have been fortunate there has been no claw-back."
"There will be no great pain for people in Limavady.
"We're trying to continue with the service we have, but services will not increase."
The non-domestic rate was also increased to 27.7302 in the pound.
