Limavady man released on bail after Londonderry murder arrest

A 48-year-old man from Limavady, arrested on suspicion of withholding information about a murder in Derry in 2009, has been released on bail.

Convicted drug dealer Jim McConnell was shot dead by two masked men at his home in Prehen on 11 February 2009.

Two other men, who were in the house at the time, were unhurt.

The man from Limavady was arrested on Thursday and released on Friday morning pending further inquiries.
